26TH APDR WORKSHOPThe APDR invites regional scientists, economists, economic geographers, urban planners, policy makers, and researchers of related disciplines to participate in the 26th APDR workshop that will be held from 30th of September to 1st of October 2021, at the University of Beira Interior, Covilhã, Portugal. The participation can be in place or on webinar.
This workshop aims to develop an international forum of discussion devoted to multidimensional approaches on the role played by civic universities in fostering ecosystems, as well as structural and changing dynamics and its impact on citizens’ quality of life and regional development, especially, in low-density regions. It is targeted to make available a set of international benchmarking case studies on good practices and initiatives aimed at creating and fostering ecosystems at the regional level. It will show how these international benchmarks can be replicated to design a new generation of intelligent public policies, for fostering the creation of entrepreneurial and innovative units and promoting sustainable practices, under a sustainable development, which conjoins the participation of both public and private institutions and stakeholders, using co-creation, transparency and participatory budget practices that jointly improve transparency, accountability, public management and sustainable growth. |
